Monkey?
Jacked up on coffee on Friday, I was startled almost off the road when I noticed a baboon standing in a neighbor's front yard. As I whizzed by, I took a second look. Not a baboon. A fake scarecrow. D'oh!
I love my comment. I stopped here to see what you had written lately and noticed that there was a comment on this post. I didn't remember leaving one before, so I clicked to see what it was and I am struck by my genuis. Yay, me. And you, of course.
"Sooner or later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, not the great goals achieved. The real milestones are less prepossessing. They come to the door of memory unannounced, stray dogs that amble in, sniff around a bit, and simply never leave. Our lives are measured by these."
